Guitarist John Patrick PetersThis is the first a series of features about the people who’ve contributed to my new album release, “Love.”

Guitarist John Patrick Peters played on several of the songs on this album. He also did the choir arrangements for songs “Top of the Mountain” and “Hidden Wings,” sung by members of the University of Michigan Mens Glee Club.

Hailing from Fort Worth, TX but calling Lansing, MI his home, John Patrick Peters has created a style of playing that draws influence from a wide variety of genres and styles to create his own sound. Holding an A.A. in Music from Jackson College and a B.M. in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University, JPP has led his own self named project for a decade and has released one record (“In The Sense Of Love”). As a sideman JPP has played Funk, R&B, Fusion with the band Kw’est led by Charles Johnson. Recorded Pop, Folk with Angela Predhomme for her record “Love”. JPP is currently touring with the Big Riggs Band. JPP is currently working at Guitar Center in Lansing as an instructor. Over the next few months JPP will be working on a couple albums of original music with an expected release of summer 2020.
